Redesign Jörgentorpark

Jörgentorpark runs alongside the historic city center of Münnerstadt. It is a place with close ties to the city's history, but one that has yet to fully realize its potential at the interface with the surrounding landscape.

Its redevelopment into a city park for all generations follows the existing, historically established zoning. However, its appearance will be enhanced in terms of design and filled with life. The arched path structure emphasizes the striking basic shape of the park. The two main paths, on the dam crest and along the city wall, enclose the central green space and provide orientation. A small entrance plaza anchors the park at the Jörgentor and creates a clear link to the old town. The simple basic structure clarifies the spatial situation and fits well into the historical context.
