Children’s Kayak Course Hammerbach Rosenheim

In Mangfallpark South, the flood embankment divides the park into the riverscape of the Mangfall and the park area along the Hammerbach. The course of the Hammerbach is modelled as a kayak training course for children. Large gravel islands of exposed concrete accelerate the flow of water while infusing dynamism through the narrowing and widening of the stream, which is lined by bands of shrubs. The islands also serve as recreational areas for park visitors, especially for spectators at the kayak course. The kayak course, the Spielfluss water playground and the expansive sports lawn contribute to the rich playing and sporting nature of Mangfallpark South.
