Green Core – Volkspark Neu Meerbeck Moers

In future, sports facilities, green spaces and squares will inhabit an 8-hectare area of Moers, which will permanently act as a central element of the public green space in the district of Meerbeck.

Sports facilities, a cemetery and near-natural woods will form a unique conglomeration of open spaces in the centre of Moers-Meerbeck. A ring-shaped park promenade will link these to one another to form a new Volkspark for the district of Meerbeck. Sports facilities will comprise the active heart of the Volkspark, while quieter open spaces, such as the Meerbeck cemetery, surround the sports facilities and link them to the district.
