Open space for all!
Cities are growing. Society is becoming more diverse and more complex. Urbanisation, climate change, the mobility revolution and participation are increasing the demands on open-space development and require new concepts and typologies for our urban landscapes. How can we use complexity as an opportunity for quality, creativity and participation to address this current transformation? There is no fixed catalogue of measures; the solution lies in comprehensive, open-ended processes in which frameworks and contents for uses can take different courses and forms.
The A24 Landschaft planning approach is open to the new, such that we can expand the options for green- and open-space development while manifesting the potential for cities to become more liveable for everyone. New designs and locations are always emerging.
Memorable locations
A24 Landschaft creates extraordinary locations. Clear spatial settings structure complex, urban open spaces and bestow identity while providing orientation and a variety of uses. For the interaction between the city, the landscape and humans, this opens up lively public spaces towards enhancing the quality of life. The multi-layered projects of A24 Landschaft combine social, cultural and ecological aspects in open spaces.
Since 2005, A24 Landschaft has been designing a range of forward-looking projects of varying scale. Its spectrum ranges from urban development concepts and the restructuring of entire inner-city areas to designing and formulating parks, squares and gardens.
The work of A24 Landschaft has received numerous national and international awards and distinctions.
